½ DAY BIRDWATCHING

Oaxaca central valley - San Pablo Etla

Join us for a birdwatching adventure through the lesser-known corners of the Central Valley, where the diversity of habitats shelters a rich variety of species. You'll explore these hidden gems with a local expert guide, deeply familiar with the region’s birds, their calls, and behaviors.

We’ll be on the lookout for endemic species such as the Oaxaca Sparrow, Slaty Vireo, Bridled Sparrow, Ocellated Thrasher, White-throated Towhee, and many more. Whether you're a seasoned birder or just curious, this experience offers a unique way to connect with Oaxaca’s natural heritage.

MARGARET

Excellent birding trip in Oaxaca, we saw 65 species. Manuel is an excellent and knowledgeable birder and was able to identify the birds in flight, by sound and by sight. He also clearly explained important identification points to help us improve our birding capabilities.

Margaux did a great job organizing the trip so that everything went perfectly smoothly. If you are going to Oaxaca and would like to organize a really fun birding trip, I highly recommend Vamos o Qué Tours.
