The activity begins with a live demonstration, where children can see how skilled artists carve and paint the vibrant alebrijes using natural materials and traditional techniques. Then it’s time to get hands-on!

Each child will get their own small alebrije figure to paint, using a variety of bright colors and patterns.

With guidance from local artisans, kids will learn about the meaning behind these fantastical animals, express their creativity, and take home a unique handmade souvenir.
